Stacey Lynch

Apprentice and Client Representative

Stacey is an island girl...born in Honolulu and raised in Nanaimo, she moved to Victoria in 1991 to complete her degree in Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria. She spent time working in a day program for at-risk youth, volunteering at the hospital in children's surgical day care and at a local women's shelter. The women's shelter ultimately offered her a position which she accepted.

Later she worked many years at St. Margaret's School for Girls in the international boarding program. While at St. Margaret's Stacey ran a trail riding club for the students.

Horses have always held a special place in her heart, but knowledge and experience was limited to some riding and a week of horse camp in her teens.

After having a child, who is the light of her life, Stacey changed careers to pharmacy, starting out in a community pharmacy then moving to compounding specialized prescriptions and then into long term care. She currently works in a hospital pharmacy when she is not spending time in her favorite place - caring for the Thirteen Moons Medicine Horses.

Other interests include travel, gardening, reading, spending time with her grown son and baking to share!

Stacey first experienced Medicine Horses as a client, took part in any courses that were available through Tina Barnes, and became a volunteer in the gardens. She learned much about energy, horses and how to manage her own energy until finally having the honor and privilege of being accepted as an apprentice able to care for the horses and clients who visit them.

They have opened her eyes and heart to a new (to her) way of being and healing, as well as eliminating her depression and vastly improving both allergies and associated asthma.

Stacey loves to listen, learn, and support the process whenever she is needed.
