medicine horse sanctuary society

" In 2019 I put the call out to form a board to assist me in finding a way to give the best care to a herd of five gifted Medicine Horses, to provide opportunities for people from all walks of life to spend time in the healing energy field and to map out a plan of succession for the ongoing maintenance of the horses.

The Universe heard my call as did some very talented people!

I am so grateful to those that jumped in with both feet and have worked diligently in this first year to make a difference in so many lives.

Thank you! "

our history

It’s amazing what we can do when we come together.

January 2019 the call went out to create the sanctuary.

Many answered the call and a board was selected, a name was chosen as was a mandate.

Monthly meetings were held which included preparing documents to move from being a British Columbia Canada registered Non Profit to a Registered Charity.  Our application was submitted in October and is currently under review.

In October 2019 we entered into an agreement to provide a program to five students who attend the WSANEC Leadership Secondary School. What began as five students attending once a week has morphed toward fifteen who take turns due to financial limitations.

With your help, through donations, we plan to expand to provide opportunities for all of the children who wish to come.

Our mission:  provide care for the horses while sharing their gifts
